DIY "Thumbody Loves You" Stone Drink Coasters

Start with plain tumbled stone 4x4 tiles available at any home improvement store, Home Depot etc.  Spread paint out on a plastic plate for thumb/handprints. Let your kids go crazy with the thumbprints.  Wish I had a picture of that step, but it got a little crazy with my baby and the paint! Then, take the sharpie pen and write your message on the tile.
Supplies used: Mod Podge Shimmer, Sharpie pen, paint brush, paint and 4x4 tumbles stone tiles
The handprints are fun too!  Gotta love my littlest one's smeared handprint!
Once your design is done with the paint, use the Mod Podge Shimmer to lightly seal the tiles.  The Shimmer really brings out the color in the tile, while protecting those precious thumb/handprints!
Next, add circle or square felt pads to the back of the tiles to keep from scatching the furniture they are supposed to be protecting.
What do you get for grandparents, aunts, uncles etc. who have everything?  "Thumbody Loves You" drink coasters!  Perfect craft for all ages to do.

North Pole Class Christmas Party

The cupcakes were vanilla with peppermint flavored icing and then crushed candy canes on top!
I have found that paper tablecloths, especially for class parties, works the best for quick clean up!
December has been a VERY busy month, but I LOVE the festivities of Christmas! As the room mom for my daughter's kindergarden class, I am responsible for planning the holiday parties.  This year I decided to go with "Penquins & Peppermints" theme, so as to not favor any particular religious holiday.  The teacher had asked each student to bring a small gift for the classroom, instead of bringing her a gift.  The kids had a blast sitting in a circle with each other and opening up the gifts for the classroom.  For the craft, we made snowmen ornaments with their handprints on them and a sweet poem.(check later this week for diy tutorial).
